Dining at the Murphys Hotel The Murphys Historic Hotel serves an award-winning prime rib, rack of lamb, filet mignon and our famous fried chicken. As a traditional dinner house, we are known for our Caesar salad and house-made mousse, creme brulee, chocolate decadence, and bread pudding. The main dining room seats 32 and is a favorite dinner spot for locals and out-of-town guests. Just off the main room is the Gold Room which seats up to 50 and is frequently requested for social events, luncheons, festive occasions, family gatherings and meetings. Decorated in charming period antiques, the dining experience is reminiscent of another time. Rumor has it that a ghost visits the kitchen and Eleanor’s picture is said to be the one hanging in the Gold Room. Open seven days a week including all major holidays from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Daily dinner specials starting from $9.95. Reservations on the weekend are recommended. Patio seating is available under our beautiful tall trees overlooking Main Street.  Our lawn area has been used for wedding, reunions, and group gatherings.   It can accommodate up to 150  people with tent service available if needed.
